It always seems that we lack the Jewish perspective on the religion boards...the ones I've visited, at any rate.

Most of my Jewish friends, and my sister-in-law, consider themselves "cultural Jews" -- they're not religious -- so I can't even bring their perspective to this board.

I'd love to hear from a practicing Jew (oh, goody -- there's that word "practicing" again!) I'm fascinated by the Jewish perspective on God, the afterlife, and whether they believe in hell. Then again, like Christians, they are all over the map: from Reform Judaism on the left to Satmar Hasidism, which, I think, is about as conservative as Judaism gets.

Does Matisyahu, the Lubavitcher rapper, have a My Space page? Maybe we can invite him to this board!

Oh, dear....I was trying to post this subject in the Jewish section, but it ended up in "Voodoo/Santeria." Now Matisyahu's going to be offended and won't come join us...

I'd like to see some Jews here too -- haven't seen any on any of the religion boards I've been to.
