When asked if he agrees that the movie should have a disclaimer saying that it's fiction, Ian McKellen said this:
"Well, I've often thought the Bible should have a disclaimer in the front saying this is fiction. I mean, walking on water, it takes an act of faith. And I have faith in this movie. Not that it's true, not that it's factual, but that it's a jolly good story. And I think audiences are clever enough and bright enough to separate out fact and fiction, and discuss the thing after they've seen it."
I totally agree, if the christians want a fiction disclaimer on this movie, there should be one in front of "Passion of the Christ" and their Bible. _________________ "Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities." – Voltaire. |

IMO such antics denote a lack of faith.
I have no problem with someone believing something, I have a serious problem when they get threatened when someone creates a story out of that belief, and the next thing ya know the 'fur is flying'
I mean, how many Wiccans got on TV or insisted on a boycott of 'The Craft' or 'Practical Magic' or wanted a disclaimer?
just another way to attempt to control the masses. _________________ Merry Meet, Merry Part, Merry Meet Again
