This past weekend, I went to Red Earth in Oklahoma City, OK.  It's a Native American Pow Wow that is in OK. once a year!

I had a great time!  I got two smudge feathers for my Altar, and they are beautiful!!!

I also got to stock up on my Sweetgrass, Copal Resins, Lavender, Juniper, and charcoal!

I am one happy Filly!!!  I burned at my Altar last night, and used one of my new smudge feathers!!!

I know this may not be all cool and grand to everyone, but it is to me...and that's all that matters now, isn't it?  LOL

Anyway, I just wanted to share...thanks for reading this!!!!

Very cool, Filly! Did you take in any of the drumming and dancing at the pow wow?

I've been to a couple of pow wows myself. They are always very enjoyable. I really love the fry bread especially!

Oh yes, DDawg.  I spent about three hours watching the Fancy Dances.  The costumes were absolutely beautiful!!!

The sweetest thing was when they had the "Tiny Tots" do their thing!  It was adorable to see those little children dancing!!!

The Fry Bread....that's one of the highlights for hubby!  LOL.  He loves that stuff!!!!

I've been burning at my Altar each night since I've been home, and have been using my new Smudging Feathers.  I love them so much!

When I light the charcoal, and add the sage, sweetgrass, and other resins to it for burning, I use the smudging feathers to wave through the smoke, and do the prayers and blessings.

Hubby sometimes likes to sit on the Altar Chair, and have me smudge him.  I've also smudged my girlfriend, and burned for her when she's not feeling well, or has a big meeting coming up.  Blessings, protection, etc.
