That's right! I said it! Oh what a goof I am! LOL
Tell me this, if you will.
How does one work out three times a week on workout equipment and do just fine....then, go to an event and pull your lower back out of whack simply by walking?
Yep, that's what happened to me! At the Red Earth Festival on Saturday, I'm justa walking. Suddenly, I feel this pain to the left of my lower back. I must have turned wrong or something, because I was in complete pain!
When I got back to the hotel, I had to take a long hot bath, crawl into the bed with my wine, and it took all I had to get up when I had to use the restroom.
Just today, the pain is pretty much gone. It just feels a little bruised is all, but I haven't been able to work out this week because of it. Hubby said to wait until next week, so that all is healed properly.
I cannot believe that after all that I do on a daily basis, that simply 'walking' would be something that messed me up!
Any other goofs out there? |

filly, I can top that. I once strained my back standing up. I was flying to vegas, for a few days and when my flight landed I stood up and felt something pop in my back. Actually had to have a flight attendant help me off the plane and someone call for a wheelchair to get me to the cab to the hotel, I get extra humiliation points since I worked for the airline.
Since you are feeling better it's too late but I do have a cure that worked for me in vegas. I made it to the hotel room called room service, asked them to send up a pint of tequilla and a six pack, consumed both to take the edge off the pain. Staggered to the hotel pool, had the kind waitress there get me another beer, and climbed into the Jaccuzzi for about 45 minutes. When I sobered up I felt fine my backpain was gone.

Wow! That had to have been a doozy!!! Yep, you DO get extra humiliation points by working for that airline! LOL
I took a hot hot shower (I just can't sit in a bathtub in a hotel, no matter how nice the hotel is), and let the water hit my lower back for a long time!!! Then, I crawled in the bed and got my wine on! It helped me to relax and fall asleep, that's for sure!
I kept my feet elevated on two pillows too! Any pressure that I was able to get off of my lower back, helped so much!
