Looking for Jesus?
Try surfing on the Hawaiian islands.
Or an expedition to the Amazon.
That's how many children at area churches will learn their Bible lessons this summer.
Well, they won't actually go to Hawaii or the Amazon. But churches will bring the look and feel of the tropics to students with elaborate displays and craft projects.
Goodbye coloring books and potholders. Hello hand-designed T-shirts and volcanoes.
Vacation Bible School has gone hi-tech.

I used to have to go to VBS when I was a kid. To me, the "B" stood for BORING. As in: Very Boring Shit.
craft projects... like making a picture of Jesus out of macaroni, while the other kids were having fun playing outside and going to the pool... gmab....
