Janicelee, I LOVE you! And I agree with snowy -- I find nothing at all hypocritical about anything you wrote. (Love you too, snowy!)
It's so interesting that you mention St. Bridget, because Bridget was the Celtic "Saint" I was particularly thinking about when I wrote what I did. She was certainly a "goddess" before the RCC turned her into a saint.
Santeria has that same sort of connection with the RCC, especially as concerns their "Santa Barbara." My only problem with Santeria is the animal sacrifice. Poor goats always seem to get the short end of the stick. And chickens? Someone once called rabbits "God's forgotten creatures." I'd put chickens right up there in the same category. They get treated like shit.
