While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon receives an urgent late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum. Near the body, police have found a baffling cipher. The way I understand the 'problem' with some is the fact that Dan Brown suggests that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and their are children that are the DIRECT descendants of Christ.

This of course, from reports has bothered the Catholic Church, as according to the book, are aware of this, but have hidden this 'truth' for centuries, in order to have continued power among the believers of Christian faith.

Now, that is my understanding....I am waiting to hear from others. I admit, I have not read this book in its entirety; however, I have read Holy Blood, Holy Grail, which of course was the subject of another controversy regarding rights and copyright, which was settled in court in Dan Brown's favor.

Remember, Dan Brown does refer to this novel as a book of FICTION with some historical fact.
