"Something about the sound of the tree bark hitting the ground caught Assad Busool's attention, compelling the Islamic scholar to pluck the wood fragment from the pavement in front of his Skokie home.

What he found written on it has caused a minor stir among some members of his Muslim community, who view the engraving as a divine reminder of the existence of God. The word "Muhammad"—or rather the Arabic for the Islamic prophet's name—had been carved into the bark by insects.

"I was astonished," said Busool, 69. "I said, 'What is the meaning of this?' I have a holy tree in my yard."

No, you have a frickin' hole in your head (imo).....

If a god or a prophet or a saint wants to make himself or herself known, instead of appearing on obscure bits of  tree bark and tortillas and grilled cheese sandwiches, how about renting a billboard along I-5? Or taking out a full-page ad in the NY Times, or a 30-second spot on CNN?

I'm just sayin'....... these gods need to get some decent PR people.

I must admit that the grilled cheese sammich, among other things....this insect carving included, is a bit odd to me.

I reckon I could find anything in any object if I wanted to.  All I have to do is look hard enough.

I remember the Johnny Carson show, and he had this older lady on there who collected potato chips that were in the shapes of things...like birds, faces, etc.  She had them all neatly on a tray.

When she looked off, she heard Johnny Carson chomping down on some chips and she about came unglued!  Everyone was roaring with laughter, because he put his hand up and said "No, no"...as he picked a bowl of chips up from behind his desk to show her!  It was so dadblasted funny!

He probably ate more than a few gods, demi-gods and parents of gods when munching on those chips!
